Teaching
Whatever the reason for wanting to study the Bible and Theology, whether to make a more effective ministry, to equip one for future full or part time ministry, to permit a more active and effective Christian within a local church, or simply because one desires a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Bible, the simple fact is that one MUST study the Bible to enhance their knowledge of Jesus. Approaching the Bible objectively and interpretting the text responsibly, one should learn about the unity and interdependence of the Bible (permitting in-depth doctrinal studies); how to apply the Bible (both in personal life and within a ministry context); and finally, how to express what one has learned, so that a discussion of theological and doctrinal issues may be undertaken with confidence, as well as to preach and exhort as God gives one the opportunity, and to refute error.
We hope to undertake "teaching" evenings to build upon rudimentary knowledge, or to enhance years of Christological relationship, in the near future.
